CMOC Wins Optimist International

Best Overall Fundraising Project in 2007-2008

Optimist International informed the Central Macomb Optimist Club that their

“Wigs 4 Kids Fundraiser” CPA book was selected as the Best Overall Fundraising

Project in 2007-2008 Community Projects Awards competition.

This project raised $3000 through a raffle and taste-fest that

was donated to Wigs 4 Kids. Enough pony tails were also

donated that night to make 10 wigs for children with cancer.

The Central Macomb Club was honored at the Optimist International

convention during one of the business sessions and their award winning CPA book

was bound and presented to them in a leather portfolio.

The club received this award at the

Optimist International convention in Kissimmee, Florida in July. The Club was represented at the Convention

 by our President Elaine Lyon and Treasurer Kathy Vatalero.
